iRobot making a laundry-folding robot?

The Orlando Sentinel writes the latest rave review of the Scooba robotic mop: "Forget the robo vac -- here's one that mops up"
Tucked into the review is this nugget:
"Tired of separating and folding laundry? The wizards at iRobot are working on a gadget for that job. Stay tuned."
iRobot CEO Colin Angle has talked about laundry folding robots several times, but what would such a device look like? How would it work? How much would it cost? I would think that an industrial version would be welcomed by the hotel maids and cruise ship operators around the world for the billions of towels they have to clean daily, but would you really fork over $300 -- or $500? -- for a robot that simply folds your laundry? I suppose some people would, particularly people with disabilities, arthritis, or the elderly, but for myself, laundry folding isn't that big a deal. Robotic ironing is another matter, entirely! I'd easily pay $2 a shirt for ironing, so a robot that ironed my shirts would be worth hundreds of dollars a year. Unfortunately, the only ironing robot I can find on the market is the Siemens Dressman (pictured), but it's about $1,500 (!!!) and not available in the United States.
