This story from March suggests that an order for 150 Seagliders was already placed.
I'm assuming that this was in error and simply that Seagliders are competing for a 150-robot contract. But there is now the real possibility of another decent sized business line for iRobot. What we know at this point -- there are likely to be six or seven major contracts rolled out over the coming years for small Navy robotic subs, and iRobot has a halfway decent chance of getting picked.
I could see this product generating $20 million a year for iRobot within 2 years with similar profit margins to the rest of the business. At a 1:1 stock value/revenue ratio, that would be worth roughly 6% of the company, or about 70 cents a share.
