Article says Taiwan gearing up robotics industry

The Guardian has an article on Taiwan's industry eyeing robotics as the Next Big Thing. A Taiwanese manufacturer partnered with Ugobe on the Pleo, for example. iRobot gets a mention as a leader in the field. (With iRobot so cheap, I'm wondering if a big Asian company like Samsung might make a play for it? Samsung, a key Korean competitor with very deep pockets, could buy iRobot for a song and sell off the military side to a major U.S. military company at the same time.
